What does the author claim about human nature and/or their ideal society? In other words, what would be their goals in a revolution? Second, choose one of the revolutions that we discussed in class and evaluate the extent to which that revolution lived up to the writer’s ideals. Did the revolution accomplish the author’s goals? Why or why not? (Note, the author of the document can be from a different place than the revolution you choose. (e.g. you could use a French document to discuss the American Revolution). Be sure to use specific case studies and evidence to back up your points. Avoid a strict retelling of a revolutionary event.
