If your state is restricted, describe the restrictions to practice and the current political climate surrounding FPA (for example, is there any pending legislation to move to FPA? Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) are licensed independent practitioners who have completed advanced education and clinical training beyond their initial nursing education. APRNs include nurse practitioners (NPs), clinical nurse specialists (CNSs), certified nurse-midwives (CNMs), and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs).

The practice climate for APRNs varies widely by state.
