Greek sculpture: the classical period

Your book review should begin with a concise introduction, summarizing the author’s fundamental argument and the structure of the book.
The main thing I am asking you to do in this book review is simply to explain the author’s argument in each of the three main chapters of the book. What point are they making, and how do they make it? That is to say, what is their thesis, and with what evidence do they support their thesis? (Here you may choose to divide your discussion into sections based on the chapters into which the book is divided, if applicable, though this is not actually required. More fundamentally, your discussion should analyze the author’s argument as it is developed, however it is developed.)
The other thing you should do in your review is to specify whether you think the author is persuasive or not, and why. This may serve as a conclusion.(In a typical academic book review one might say more about the author’s place in contemporary scholarship, among other things, but that is not required for this assignment.)
In terms of formatting, your reviews should be 3-5 pages double-spaced with standard margins and a standard 12-point font. There is no need for a title page.
Citations of the book under review should be made by footnotes. You do not need to refer to any external sources for your reviews, but if you choose to do so, then be sure to cite them properly via footnotes.
