Critically assess academic literature on the subject. I am looking for critical thinking and a clear indication that you have a grasp of the literature.
Do not include numerous or long quotes in your work. I want to see your critical thinking skills on display and not a string of quotes written by published authors. Your analysis is what is needed for a successful paper. As a general rule no more than 5% of an academic paper should be quoted material.
At this point in your educational journey, you should have solid substance and proper academic formatting in your college level writing assignments. Students will be graded on both so make sure you turn in your best work.
Do not wait to the last minute to research, write drafts, format, and edit. Proper time management is required to turn in a quality paper that highlights your criminal justice writing.
This is a major assignment so follow the instructions carefully.
The grading criteria is based on the below APUS rubric for written assignments.

Organized crime-related intelligence refers to information gathered and analyzed by law enforcement agencies about criminal organizations and their activities. This type of intelligence is used to identify patterns and trends in criminal activity, and to develop strategies for disrupting and dismantling criminal organizations. Organized crime-related intelligence can include information about the structure and leadership of criminal organizations, their methods of operation, and their sources of income. It is often gathered through a combination of traditional police work, such as surveillance and undercover operations, as well as through the use of advanced technologies like data analysis and social media monitoring.

Domestic terrorism-related intelligence refers to information gathered and analyzed by law enforcement agencies about individuals and groups that engage in terrorist activities within a country’s borders. This type of intelligence is used to identify potential terrorist threats, and to develop strategies for preventing and responding to terrorist attacks. Domestic terrorism-related intelligence can include information about the ideology, tactics, and capabilities of terrorist groups, as well as information about the individuals involved in these groups. It is often gathered through a combination of traditional police work, such as surveillance and undercover operations, as well as through the use of advanced technologies like data analysis and social media monitoring.

Intelligence-led policing is a law enforcement strategy that involves using intelligence to guide policing decisions and operations. This approach emphasizes the use of intelligence to identify criminal patterns and trends, and to focus policing resources on areas where criminal activity is most likely to occur. Intelligence-led policing also involves using intelligence to inform the development of policing strategies, such as targeted enforcement and community-based policing. The goal of intelligence-led policing is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of policing efforts by focusing on the most pressing criminal threats and using intelligence to make informed decisions about how to address those threats.
