Develop a dissemination plan for your research. Your plan should include discussion about the following:
Audience (nurses working at assisted living facilities, elderly population living in nursing homes, perhaps gerontologists)
Who is most likely to use this research?
What is the practice setting?
End-user needs
How should you present data to make it most usable?
Is there a specific language you should use to ensure your audience understands your purpose?
Does the target audience have a specific type of need based on practice setting?
Publications
What specific journals, newsletters, or publications would you want to publish in to reach your audience?
Presentations at local, state, and national levels
At what conferences, meetings, or panels would you want to present to make sure your ideas were readily available in the field?
Format your dissemination plan as one of the following:
875-word paper
Please be sure to create a heading for each of the elements.
Cite at least 3 peer-reviewed articles.
Dissemination Plan for Research on Improving Care for the Elderly in Assisted Living Facilities
Introduction
The purpose of this dissemination plan is to outline a strategy for sharing the findings of our research study on improving care for the elderly in assisted living facilities. The target audience for this research is nurses working at assisted living facilities, the elderly population living in nursing homes, and gerontologists. This plan will discuss the end-user needs, how to present data to make it most usable, the language to use to ensure the audience understands the purpose, the specific needs based on the practice setting, and the publications and presentations necessary to reach the target audience.
Audience
The target audience for this research is nurses working at assisted living facilities, the elderly population living in nursing homes, and gerontologists. The primary focus of our research study is to improve care for the elderly population living in assisted living facilities by enhancing the quality of care provided by nurses. The elderly population is increasing in size and complexity, and they require specialized care that should be provided by skilled professionals in the nursing field. Therefore, our research study targets nurses who work in assisted living facilities to improve the quality of care for the elderly population.

The assisted living facility is a long-term care option that provides housing, meals, medication management, and assistance with activities of daily living. Nurses working in assisted living facilities are responsible for providing care to the elderly population living in the facility. Therefore, our research study focuses on improving the quality of care provided by nurses in assisted living facilities.
End-User Needs
The end-user needs for this research study are to provide nurses working in assisted living facilities with evidence-based practices that improve the quality of care provided to the elderly population. Nurses need practical information that is easy to understand and implement in their daily practice. Therefore, the findings of our research study should be presented in a way that is easily understood and can be implemented in the practice setting.
Presenting Data
The data collected in this research study should be presented in a way that is easily understandable to the target audience. Nurses working in assisted living facilities are busy professionals who require practical information that can be easily implemented in their practice. Therefore, the data should be presented in a concise manner that highlights the key findings of the research study. The use of charts and graphs can be helpful in presenting the data in an easy-to-understand manner.
Language
The language used to present the findings of this research study should be clear and concise. The use of technical terms should be minimized to ensure that the target audience understands the purpose of the research study. Nurses working in assisted living facilities are professionals who require practical information that can be easily understood and implemented in their practice. Therefore, the language used to present the findings should be plain and simple.
Specific Needs Based on Practice Setting
The specific needs of nurses working in assisted living facilities are to provide quality care to the elderly population living in the facility. Nurses require practical information that can be easily implemented in their practice. Therefore, the findings of this research study should be presented in a way that can be easily understood and implemented in the practice setting. The practicality of the research study should be emphasized to ensure that the target audience sees the relevance of the research study to their practice.
Publications
The findings of this research study should be published in peer-reviewed journals, newsletters, and publications that are relevant to the nursing profession.
