Option #1: Portfolio Project Reference Page Rough Draft and Working Thesis
This week instructions
Working Thesis: Based on your reading of the novel Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe and on our discussion, this week on character, craft a working thesis.
• Again, your thesis may address any character or element of the novel, but as we are focusing on characters this week, work to include specific characters in your thesis. (The characters I have chosen are Obierika (the foil) and Okonkwo ( the protagonist).
• We will revise this thesis throughout the term, so be bold now, and understand that we will revise more as we learn more about the novels and each other in the coming weeks.
• Please share the thesis statement first.
• Noting any ideas or questions or thoughts you have about the future of the thesis statement.
• After the thesis, please share your reference page in complete APA Paper Writing Service by Expert Writers Pro Paper Help: Online Research Essay Help. Remember to include three (3)credible sources besides the book.

Ideas/Questions/Thoughts:
I could explore how Obierika’s more thoughtful and introspective approach to tradition and change contrasts with Okonkwo’s more aggressive and violent approach.
I could also examine how these character traits play out in their relationships with their families and community members.
I could research and incorporate additional outside sources to provide more context and analysis on the themes and motifs present in the novel.
