Write a Research Methodology intro, philosophy, research paradigm, and last point..
For this assignment you will write section 1,2,3 and the last section of the Given screenshot (attached).
It is the Research Methodology intro, philosophy and research paradigm. And, also the last section
In 2,000 words.
Research Question:
The aim of this study is to examine how dance students can be efficiently assisted in improving their expressiveness, specifically, this study seeks to answer the following three questions:
1.What competencies can be developed to help students improve their dance expression?
2.How can musical elements be used to design course content to help students improve their dance expression?
3.What other teaching models can be used for dance teaching practice in addition to the teacher-centered teaching model?
In the Data analysis section you does not need to write specific content, just write about what will be a way to analyze it.
Introduction:
The purpose of this research is to investigate how dance students can be effectively supported in enhancing their expressiveness. This study focuses on three main research questions that aim to determine the competencies that can be developed to help students improve their dance expression, the use of musical elements to design course content for dance expression improvement, and other teaching models that can be employed in addition to the teacher-centered teaching model. This section discusses the research philosophy, research paradigm, and methodology employed to address these research questions.
Research Philosophy:
The research philosophy is the underlying belief system that guides the researcher’s approach to the study. In this research, the interpretive philosophy will be employed, which assumes that the world is complex and that meanings are subjective and context-dependent. This philosophy acknowledges that there is no single truth, but rather multiple interpretations that can be drawn from a particular context. Interpretive philosophy recognizes that humans actively construct their realities and that research should focus on understanding and interpreting these subjective meanings.
Research Paradigm:
The research paradigm is the overall framework that guides the research design, methodology, and analysis. In this research, the constructivist paradigm will be employed. The constructivist paradigm assumes that knowledge is constructed through interaction between the researcher and the research participants. It acknowledges the subjective nature of reality and encourages multiple perspectives to be explored. This paradigm is appropriate for this research because it seeks to understand the experiences and perspectives of dance students and their teachers in relation to dance expression improvement.
Research Methodology:
This study will employ a qualitative research methodology, specifically a case study design. The case study design is appropriate for this research as it allows for an in-depth exploration of a particular phenomenon, in this case, dance expression improvement. The case study design provides an opportunity to collect rich and detailed data about the experiences of dance students and their teachers.
Data Collection:
The data collection method for this research will be semi-structured interviews with dance students and their teachers. The interviews will be conducted individually to ensure that the participants can share their experiences freely and openly. Additionally, observations of dance classes will be conducted to provide contextual information about the teaching and learning environment. These observations will also allow for the collection of non-verbal data related to dance expression.
Data Analysis:
The data collected will be analyzed using thematic analysis. Thematic analysis involves identifying themes, patterns, and relationships within the data. The data will be coded and analyzed to identify emerging themes related to the three research questions. The themes will then be interpreted and discussed in relation to the research questions.
This study aims to investigate how dance students can be efficiently assisted in improving their expressiveness. The interpretive philosophy and constructivist paradigm guide this research, and the case study design and qualitative methodology will be employed to collect data. Semi-structured interviews and observations will be conducted, and the data will be analyzed thematically. This study will contribute to the existing literature on dance expression and teaching models in dance education.
